Kate Elizabeth Winslet

Kate Elizabeth Winslet is an English film actress. She was born on 5. 10. 1975 in Reading, Berkshire in England.

Kate Winslet is most known as main female actress in movie Titanic from 1997 as Rose Dewitt Bukater.

Three other most known movies are: Sense and Sensibility (1995) where she was Marianne Dashwood, Heavenly Creatures as Juliet Hulme and The Reader, where she played Hanna Schmitz, a tram conductor.

She won Oscar as Best Actress for he rorle in the Reader.

Titanic is a fictional romantic movie. It talks about a rich girl and poor boy. They meet on the voyage of the Titanic - ship of dreams - to America.

Poor artist named Jack Dawson (leonardo di Caprio) and a rich girl Rose DeWitt Bukator (Kate Winslet) fall in love, but fairytale turns into a drama after Titanic starts to sink.

Rose is rescued by Carpathia, but Jack dies in cold water of North Atlantic.

Kate Winslet plays Marianne Dashwood, one of three daugthers of Ms Dashwood.

She met Colonel Brandon who fell in love with her at first sight, but he has a competitor John Willoughby. But John moved to London and leave Marianne with broken heart.

One day, she travel to London only to find out, that he engaged there with very wealthy Miss Grey.

On the way home, Marianne walked couple of miles in the rain. Colonel Brandon rescued her, but she got siriously ill. After nursed back to health, she falls in love with Colonel Brandon and marries him.

Germany - after World war II. Older woman Hanna helps Young Michael Berg and sun they are in passionate affair.

Michael reads to Hanna from the books: Huck Finn, The Odyssey and The Lady with the Little Dog. One day Hanna dissapears and leave frustrated Micheal alone.

After eight years they met again. Michael observes as student war crime trials and Hanna is one of the accused.
